How is roulette made?

The first point on which it is important to dwell, also because it represents the basis of our online roulette guide is to understand how it is made. A roulette wheel is nothing more than a wheel consisting of a series of slots (usually 37 or 38) on which there are numbers divided between red and black. The only green number is 0, and possibly double 0. Your task is to guess on which slot the ball that is thrown by the croupier will land after closing the bets.

Next to the wheel, then, you will always find a table on which there are numbers (ranging from 0, and in some cases even the double 0 to 36). Above and below the numbers, then, you will also find inscriptions indicating the secondary bets. Of these, however, we will tell you shortly.

The different variations of roulette

There is not, in fact, a single roulette but there are several and each of them has different particularities and differ from each other for some points even quite important. Here are the most important:

French: This is perhaps the most popular you can find around. The wheel has 37 slots with 0, green, and the numbers 1 through 36 split between red and black. On the sides, then, there are side bets written in French. The peculiarity of this slot machine is the presence of the “Le Partage”rule. If the 0 comes out, in fact, and you have bet on a secondary bet, for example Red or Black, you will not lose the whole bet but you will return half of it.

European: it is very similar to the previous version except for two reasons in particular. The first thing to note is that the bets are written in English on the game table. The second point, however, is that there is no Le Partage rule, but there is the “En Prison”one. Simply put, if you bet on a side bet, such as Red and Black or Even and Odd, and it comes out 0, you will not lose your bet, but it will be stuck (precisely in prison) for the next round.

Americana: this is definitely the version that you have to pay some attention to for some reasons. First of all, there are neither the En Prision rule, nor that Partage. Then, the big difference of this roulette compared to the previous two, concerns the presence of the double 0, also green in color. The main bets on online roulette

In the online version of roulette, in addition to betting on the numbers that could come out (which bring a win of 36 to 1), there are side bets, also known as Side Bets. Let's see which are the main ones and consider that you find them imprinted on the game table both virtual and traditional, so that you can bet on them without much difficulty.

- Red or Black: this is definitely the best known and easiest bet to bet on. You have to predict, in fact, if the next number that comes out is red or black. In this case the win is 2 to 1, that is, you will win an amount equal to the bet made.

1-18/19-36: same reasoning we saw earlier. Your goal, in fact, will be to choose whether the next number is part of the first half or the second.
